Welcome to beyond belief, a place where faith becomes real, where ordinary days collide with God's extraordinary purposes. God doesn't always shout. Sometimes he whispers. Sometimes he nudges. Sometimes he interrupts. And today we are talking about the moments God is already moving around you in ways you might not even notice. This is episode one of our series, God is already working around you. Let's begin. Have you ever realized something important just a few minutes too late? A phone call you almost ignored. A conversation you brushed off. An opportunity that seemed insignificant until later when you realized it changed your life. The thing is, God is already at work. Not in the future. Not if you're lucky, but right now. Imagine a man rushing through the airport, heart pounding, bag dragging behind him. He reaches the gate just in time to see the plane pulling away. He missed it by two minutes. Two minutes. Later, he learns the plane had mechanical issues. It had to make an emergency landing. That flight he thought he needed was never the one God had in mind. Sometimes interruptions are protection. Sometimes delays are direction. God is never inactive. He is always moving. The question is, will you notice? Let me tell you about a time God interrupted my life. I had a plan. A perfect plan. I thought I had it all mapped out. Career, ministry, relationships. And then he asked me to step into something I didn't understand. It started quietly. A conversation. A door I almost ignored. A person asking for prayer. My first reaction, God, this isn't part of my plan. And deep inside, I felt that gentle whisper. Exactly. Proverbs 16, verse 19 says, In their hearts, humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps. That's the secret. The goal isn't to get God to bless your plan. The goal is to discover his plan and join it. Picture a lighthouse on a foggy coast. Ships don't create it, they only notice the light. That's God's work. Already shining, already moving. Our role is simply to see it. We all want to know God's will. Should I take this job, move to that city, talk to that person? We often treat God like a GPS. God, give me directions. But God's will is not hidden. It's happening around you right now. In Ephesians 2, verse 10 we read, For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. You don't create God's mission, you discover it. Let's look at Moses, tending sheep in the desert, ordinary day, dust, wind, heat. And then a bush catches fire. Not burning up, just burning. Moses turns aside, and God speaks. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire, it did not burn up. So Moses thought, I will go over and see the strange sight. God was already at work. Moses simply noticed. Many of us pray, God, show me your will. But he's already showing it. The question is, do we see it? A pastor gets in a taxi late at night. The driver is exhausted. I've been asking God if he sees me, he says. Two hours later, that conversation changes the driver's life. God was already working. They just recognized the invitation. Imagine Moses leaving the bush. Heart pounding. God tells him to confront Pharaoh. Pharaoh? The most powerful man in the world? Moses feels inadequate. I'm not good enough. I'm not ready. God answers, I will be with you. That one sentence, the secret of experiencing God, not your ability, not your confidence, his presence. Where is God already working around you? At work, in your family, in your community. The person on your heart, the opportunity that keeps appearing. These are not coincidences, these are invitations. One small act of obedience can create a ripple you'll never see. One conversation, one act of service, one prayer. Isaiah 6, verse 8 says, Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send? And I said, Here I am, send me. God is changing the world through ordinary people. Abraham, Mary, Peter. Not extraordinary, just available. In 2 Chronicles 16, verse 9, we read, For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him? God is looking for someone willing to say yes. That someone could be you. Here are three questions to carry with you at the end of this episode. Where do I see God working? What invitation is he giving me? And am I willing to join him? Pray this dangerous prayer this week. Lord, show me where you are working and give me the courage to join you. God is already moving. Your greatest adventure begins the moment you recognize his invitation. And now, may you see the light God has already placed in your path. May you hear his whisper in the quiet moments. May you step courageously into the invitations he is giving. And may you experience his presence, guiding every step you take. Thank you for listening to Beyond Belief.
